What's your favourite comic book character and the worst?

My favorite hero has got to be Superman. The worlds first comic book superhero. He has inspired many others to pick up their capes, masks, etc. and try to help save the world. Even Stan Lee, creator of Marvel, said,"Superman made a big impact on me; and on most of the people who read a comic book." He shows great moral certainty to others. Whenever he hears the call for help, he 'll do all he can to save them. Even if that cry is from someone that is evil, like in Superman: For Tomarrow where Superman went to save Zod, even after their ruthless battle that was destroying the world they were on. Batman has even said that despite his alien origin, Superman is the most human out of all of them. When such a great threat like Imperix, Dominus, General Zod, Darkseid, Brainiac, etc. come out to prey on the weak, Superman defeats them.

I don't have a least favorite character, but I'am really starting to dislike Batman and Iron Man. I mean serously, they maybe good heroes in times of need, but people have got to stop acting like if they're gods. "Batman and Iron Man are human and they worked to their top potential, so they maybe able to stop natural cataclismic events that could kill millions. And they can kill guys that are strong enough to take on a supernova." Jeez. Yes they're only human, they give anything they have to support their fellow allies. Batman cannot even let go of his parents murder, if he did than he would be recruited as a Green Lantern. Iron Man cab be a genius, but he is also a washed up inventor who drinks in his spare times. Yeah I think they would be the greatest role models.

I know I may have sounded like hated Bats and Irons, but I just needed throw out some steam. People hating on Superman because he is an alien and he didnt work for it. It doesn't matter how you got there, or where you come from. What matter is what you do with what you have. That is what Superman is about.

I always liked Sub Mariner and Thor because they were real fantasy heroes -- Namor was arrogant and sometimes very antisocial and Thor was not the sharpest tool in the shed. I liked Ibis the Invincible because he was one of the most traditional Occult Detectives out there and I've been a fan of the genre in short stories and novels for over fifty years now. Prez has got to be one of the worst but I must admit I always enjoyed it because it was so stupid -- a teenaged President of the United States created to pander to the Generation Gap demographic by two guys who should have been smarter than that (Joe Simon who co-created Captain America and Jerry Grandanetti). You laughed at it instead of with it but it was supposed to be funny or cute and you still laughed.
