What do you prog-metallers think of Leprous' new album?
I had been avoiding Leprous since their debut because of the harsh vocals. I simply do not like them. However, 'Coal' has given me a new appreciation for Leprous' work and I really do enjoy the album.
What is your favorite song off the album? I like 'The Valley'.

BQ: Favorite progressive metal band?
@Wardruna: 'Coal' inspired me to go back and listen to 'Bilateral'. =P I can't handle harsh vocals at all though. If I could, Between the Buried and Me or Atheist would be one of my favorite bands.
@Zach: Thanks for your inspirational post. You've earned a fairly rare thumbs-down for your comment. :/

Doesn't strike me as metal at all. Singer sounds like he's the love child of James LaBrie and Michael Akerfeldt, but with poor timing. It's about as heavy as Evanescence. Production sounds solid, engineering feels like a tweak or two could be made.Maybe I'll come to appreciate them later as well.
BQ: used to be Dream Theater- then Mike Portnoy left, and now I just don't know. Animals as Leaders is pretty amazing. Tosin Abasi made me fall in love.

I don't think their vocals are that harsh. I'd advise you to listen to Bilateral if you haven't already heard it. Coal is great, but perhaps not quite as good as Bilateral.
BQ: Atheist or Edge of Sanity (unless Death and Gorguts can also count as progressive metal).
