Hi everyone. The verse says that if you believe in. Jesus, you will go to heaven, but how can this be if Verses like Luke 18:22 make it seem very hard to get into heaven. Thank you all.

yet you do not know the context of luke 18:22
a rich young ruler approached Jesus and asked what must HE DO (young ruler). the young man was self-righteous so what did Jesus do? he gave the law.
the law was not given for us to live by, but for us to break and be held accountable for us to see our need for Christ (Rom 3:19)
whenever you think you're righteous by your own deeds, the law would always say, "you lack one thing".

Context? How about, nothing about it makes any sense?
"Where was any sacrifice on God's part in the alleged crucifixion? If the Jews and some Cecil B. DeMille films hadn't killed Jesus, what was the other choice—that Jesus would remain on Earth forever? Is that better for him than Heaven? Or would Jesus have had a limited lifespan? If so, when Jesus dies, what next but off to Heaven? "He gave his only begotten son" makes no sense whatever. It is reduced to rubble by stating the simple reality of the situation: Jesus had a bad weekend for your sins."

I said it before and I'll say it again: Nothing about the Jesus stories makes any sense. Nothing.

Simple, the different witnesses who wrote the gospels didn't quite agree in their theology. See: that wasn't hard.
In the very same chapter -- just a few verses above the part where Jesus utters those oft-quoted words of John 3:16, he says: No one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit. Three chapters later, after feeding the five thousand, he says: Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. This is a few words after he speaks of himself as being the bread from heaven.
The context that pulls all this together is the theme John gives the gospel: the Word. Jesus brings the Word, is the Word, and it is his Word that is flesh and blood and bread and rebirth in water and spirit. John 3:16, then, is probably also speaking of that Word. Whoever believes in his Word -- that is, in what he teaches -- has eternal life. That Word is the true food that is eternal in people, and ever-renewing.

Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
Jesus was speaking to the rich, young ruler who had a hard time giving up his riches for Jesus.
John 3:16:For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him
. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.
God speaks of giving up His only begotten Son in our place for our sins. He tells us that He didn't send His Son to condemn us but instead to save us because we are separated from God by our sins.
While on the cross, Jesus became our sins.
2 Corinthians 5:19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God. 21For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
