No one here knows what philosophy is?

I find it hilarious that everyone who tries to answer anything on this forum has obviously never read any philosophy and probably doesn't even know what it entails in the least bit. Just read a question asking if God exists and lol'd at the number of people who tried to give bull**** proofs that were completely logically unsound hahaha.

I guess my main point is read some philosophy people (that is if you aren't too dumb to understand as I will assume a lot of you are). But anyways.... honestly almost everyone here sounds completely retarded because they think they're being philosophical and **** but sound like dumb fcks.

Some advise: READ SOME PLATO, AQUINAS, DESCARTES, NEWTON, LEIBNIZ HUME, BERKELEY, KANT, SARTRE, SMART, MILL etc. and then start commenting here

Update:

Lol, reading most of these comments just proves my point. Some of you can't even write properly or get across your ideas in a clear manner. If that's the case how do you ever hope to understand philosophy. Also, the comment about treating everyone with love and respect made me lol because its super ironic considering you've probably never read any philosophy on the subject of morality and showing respect and just showed that I'm right about you ppl's intelligence. You just fall into your own christian assumptions about life. Honestly without philosophy everyone's f'd because they live in naivety... but fine, just hate on me and don't take my advice it's nothing to me (sry, I realize I just hated on y'all too so you probably wont like me and take my advice, but what I've said is the simple reality)

    (Rest of your know-it-all ego rant ignored...)

    ~~~ Now you do;
    Philosophy is 'original critical thought';
    Critical Thinking Mini Lessons
    http://www.skepdic.com/refuge/ctlessons.html
    Bertrand Russell on Critical Thinking
    http://www.bu.edu/wcp/Papers/Educ/EducHare.htm
    "...philosophers and not "philosophologists", a term coined by Robert Pirsig ("Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", "Lila") to denote people who study other people's philosophy but cannot do philosophy themselves. He also says that most people who consider themselves philosophers are actually philosophologists. The difference between a philosopher and a philosophologist is like the difference between an art and aesthetics; one does and the other studies what the other does and theorizes about it."
    I have to assume this is just trolling. For my sanity, I have to assume that.
    "Some of you can't even write properly", coming from someone with a post like this? Hypocrisy at best, willful ignorance at worst.
    I get it, you're young. You think you know things. You want to flex, you want to show off.
    You don't know things. If you had read any of the people you list, read not skimmed a web page, then you would never make such attempts. Or you wouldn't if you actually understood what you read.
    Don't lump everyone into one group. No, a lot of people here have not read much, the ideas they type are only their own.
    But some, myself included, have forgotten more about philosophy that you are likely to ever learn.
    The beginning of wisdom is to realize that you know nothing.
    Spend time with that, which I'm sure you recognize because you've read it, right?
    You expected more?
    There's a fundamental disconnection between the actual history of philosophy, which involves (mostly) the ongoing discussion of methods for arriving at closer approximations of what we can know, what exists, and what ought to be valued, and between the the popular conception of philosophy, which is espoused as some theological system's beliefs.
    As a case in point, consider the School of Practical Philosophy in New York, who's "program does not focus on academic surveys of great philosophical ideas, but on how great philosophical principles enhance daily living." This isn't to say that they're wrong to try this approach in principle, but they appear to be smuggling personal beliefs under the guise of actual rigor, which is ethically questionable at best.
    That rigor gives way to espousing personal beliefs is also a common complaint against continental philosophy and the phenomenologists (i.e., Husserl, Heidegger, Derrida, Foucault, and Deleuze). I don't read much from this school myself, but watching the occasional fight break out carries its own kind of informative description of their ideas.
    None of this is to say that Y!A is going to provide much in the way of real information beyond this sort of clipped discussion. You might as well try to get a coherent dialectic out of Twitter. All this said, kind of begs the question as to why you're here in the first place. Frustration? Amusement? Or a real willingness to interact with people?
    So perhaps more to the point -- why not just drop an actual quote or two from a proper skeptic, like Hume, and see what happens?
    Philosophy means love of wisdom. Now, what is wisdom? Look that up and do not limit yourself by just reading famous books from renowned philosophers. A true philosopher does not just simply rely on books and ACADEMIC philosophy. Life is a vast field filled with knowledge and information, free yourself from your need to judge and from your cocky ego.
    I feel your sentiment though but I suggest to not take this site TOO seriously, I see that it does not pass your standards. If you are looking for deep, philosophical conversations, join a philosophy group near you or a genuine philosophy forum online. Do not waste your time here lashing out on people. Goodluck!
    I understand that you're fed up with the lack of substantial answers on this site, but perhaps you are giving yahoo answers too much credit. If you're looking for actual deep conversations about philosophy, consider a philosophy forum or subreddit (I'm sure r/philosophy exists) and take your endeavors there.
    I wouldn't say that it applies to everybody; I have seen some pretty good arguments from some of the users in this section, although not very many.
    Did it occur to you they could be children interested in hearing from philosophers?
    You should treat everyone with love and understanding- not assumptions and bigotry.
