Help.. I have a lot of food allergies and Chrohn's Disease. What can I eat?? I'm starving.?

I also have OAS.. Oral Allergy Syndrome, so that prevents me from eating any raw foods.. especially fruit and veg. well.. here's a list of my allergies to date..

Anything Raw

Peanuts AND Tree Nuts and seeds

Fish and Shellfish

Avocado, Cherries, Bananas, Onions, Garlic, Mushrooms, Peaches, Cranberries, tomatoes

Anything Spicy or Greasy f***s me up

Sulphites and MSG (so nothing canned or frozen)

Soy beans.. Soy products

(I'm probably even missing some)

.. my Crohn's has been flaring for about 6 months now and all I've been eating is Special K with milk, yogourt, red meat, chicken, pasta, and rice.

I just did an IGG allergy test for my gut with an ND.. and found out I'm also allergic to..

Everything Dairy..

Gluten (even though my Dr's test turned out negative)

Whey

Malt

Casein

Eggs

all Condiments

.. so other than rice and some meat I'm at a loss of what to eat. I eat potato chips sometimes but I can't live off of them..

I'm starving..

I would really appreciate any help or guidance. Especially if you have experience with something like this..

Thank you so much for your time..

Tara xoxo

The first thing you need to do is locate an organic or whole foods store around you like Mom's or Whole Foods or even most grocery stores have an organic/gluten free aisle.

Now what you are going to have to learn is that there are many substitutes you are going to need.

So lets talk pasta, breads and carbs. Organic stores will have a whole collection of different flours you can use to bake or cook with. There's brown rice, quinoa, corn, amaranth, tapioca. The list goes on. It's easy to find gluten free/ wheat free pasta. Throw olive oil, few spices and ground turkey in a pan. And toss it with the pasta and you have a dish.

If you can eat meat, that's great. One of the things you are going to have to learn is to cook. Yeah it's extra work but thats something you have to get used to.

Honestly you just have to explore your options. Do research. Learn about different recipes. Experiment with different sauces. Spices and herbs will become your best friend.

If your looking for quick "junk" food. Look up "enjoy life foods" they are very allergy friendly.

I know at first it seems like you can't eat anything. But after a while, you learn your not alone and that there are substitutes out on the market. You just need to know where to Find them.

Mountain Men in the Old West lived on meat alone. They ate 8 pounds a day.

The Irish lived on boiled potatoes. They ate 8 pounds of potatoes a day.

It might be a good idea to find a dietitian who can create meals for you that fit your allergies.

Perhaps they could find more variety of foods you can eat by trying a little at a time.

I would suggest that you eat only organic foods as your real allergy may be to some of the chemicals they use to grow foods. Whatever is put on the plant to kill bugs, disease and fertilizer is in the plants we consume unless it is certified organic.

Another suggestion is to have a colonoscopy. You might have a colon infection and not know about it.
