I am a pescatarian. I became one because I wanted to feel like I was helping something, someone, some form of life. My father had died right before and had a heartattck so I felt it was right to not eat red meat, or meat at all. But fish. Which are full of healthy fats and vitamins! I eat absolutely the same though, it doesnt take as much effort as one might think. I usualy get vegan veggie burgers and whenever my family eats a meat based meal, i substitute veggie crumbles, or fish, or soy, there are so many options!I would definitly recommend. I feel like I am doing something right, and actually I feel pretty lazy, I want to do more, because truly there is no effort.Good luck!

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

Then you are one of the good ones. I have no problems with vegetarians who want to eat healthier, and I don't really have a problem with any vegetarian that doesn't try to impose their will on me. Well, I take that back, I have a big problem with them when they don't TELL me they're vegetarian, and I cook steaks, and one goes to waste. The problem is that vegetarians have made an affirmative lifestyle choice, whereas meat-eaters are just doing what they have always done and what the rest of the world has done since time immemorial. Sure, you'll get meat-eaters that will call vegetarians sissies or whatever, but it's almost always the vegetarians that make it a political point or bask in their own self-righteousness and generally look down on meat and those who eat it. At least that's been my experience.

I'm not a "meat eater" I'm a omnivore, seriously how hard is it to use that ******* word.
Why am I a omnivore?
It's because I don't see any reason to be anything else, I am perfectly healthy even though I'm fat, I'm not a " carcass devouring lard *** slob" that I've seen fat omnivores or omnivores in general being described as on here.
I eat almost everything except peanuts, I cook from almost all styles of cooking but I favor European and Asian food with the occasional influence from the middle east, I regularly hunt my own food and grow my own food in my garden and I almost never eat anything that's been processed.
My conscience is perfectly find with eating the meat of animals as I don't believe in the whole "innocent animal" stuff, how can a animal be innocent if they have no concept of innocence and no crime is being committed by killing it.

I'm a vegetarian. I started in 2nd grade because I loved animals so much and now I can't get off it, especially after learning where our meat comes from. I've convinced a few friends to go vegetarian and they started pescatarian, which means they only eat fish, and eased into it. I eat lots of soup- I lovvveeee soup :) I also like dark greens, avocado, pistachios, all those addicting foods. I almost never eat out and NEVER EVER EVER eat fast foods. They are part of the reason that I became vegetarian.

by definition I am a flexitarian.
mostly fruits and veggies with occasional animal products.
an 80% alkaline and 20% acid diet is suppose to be the ideal for good health.
since I believe it. That's the way I eat.
heavy on fruits and veggies with some nuts and seeds and light on animal products and grains.
pros. I can eat anything I want. cons. I just have to avoid eating and drinking too much of the foods that can throw the body out of alkaline balance.
pros. I can eat a vegetarian diet at my house and when I go to someone elses house and at holidays I can just eat what everyone else eats.

I am a vegetarian but I eat eggs and dairy products, so Lacto-Ovo vegetarian. I was born into a family that ate vegetarian food. I tried meat but didn't like it so switched back into vegetarian. Pros- I can remain slender. I don't have to worry about cardiovascular problems. I spend less money at the supermarket. Cons- Some restaurants may not serve any vegetarian dishes.

Low Carb for diabetes control - raise my own meats and buy a few low carb fruits and veggies to go with the meats. Most people believe the dietitians and doctors that protein and fat are BAD for diabetics, but that is what keeps us in good compliance. Leaving off ALL the higher gram carb foods helps more than all the pharma they think we need to survive.Fiber is from the cruciferous veggies, we simply don't need any of that brown grain crap! and besides it has the same amount of carb grams as refined grain crap.
