I need to loose some weight around the gut and butt. What are some plain foods that are filling?

I am a confirmed "couch potato," so don't say anything about exercise. But some foods, like yoghurt, can be filling without filling you up. Are there other foods like that, so that I feel full without having a lot in my stomach?
