Boredom and ADHD question help please?
i have ADHD (i'm 16) and I was only recently diagnosed.
basically every now and then (at least once or twice a week) i'll get really really bored out of nowhere and no matter what i do i just can't stick with it and i still am bored and it drives me insane for hours and hours and won't go away until the next day but i have to deal with it until i fall asleep
my question is-is that a symptom of adhd or something else? and how can i get rid of it?

ADHD is just a label given to a series of 'symptoms' which result from anxiety. What wrong is that something is missing from your life - that something is the realisation of who you are. Who you are is awareness - this is different to thoughts and emotions which is form. Who you are is formless. Inertia is also a form - so you can either sit there identified with your mind saying "i'm so bored its killing me", or you can observe what it feels like to be what we have labeled 'bored'. So dis-identify from your mind, realise who you are and a sense of fulfilment, joy, happiness, wonder and creativity will return to you.

I don't know about the ADHD symtom but the best way to overcome boredom is to engage with other humans. Anyone, your parents, peers. Find away to be around others, a Teen Center, a Church, a Mall.
