As far as new releases are concerned, it's mostly been crap. Exceptions— the Fall Out Boy comeback :D
But the current mainstream is bad. Like annoying how-did-this-end-up-on-the-charts bad. Again, except Cruise by Florida Georgia Line. I don't care how cliché or overplayed that song is, I love love love it. That mix of country and summer is just epic.
But I *have* discovered a a lot of new old stuff. Travis, Kate Voegele, Florence and the Machine, My Chemical Romance, a few indie pop punk bands and country music, to name a few :)
I didn't and still don have much time for music at present, my schedule's full, so I don't have any particular die hard favorites.
I can't dance. Sad, I know.
I have a nickname, it's just not a cool one :p
No. What if you call me Smiley Vamp Von Croft or something? I would die :p
Great question :)

Queensryche - frequency unknown
Megadeth - super collider
Theres been a lot of really terrible death metal bands out there though that ruin the heart of music.
