Novels about dictatorship?

I read Nothing To Envy by Barbara Demick recently and it made me interested about people living under dictatorships. Can you recommend any novels about people living under dictatorships? I'm more interested in books that focus on the everyday lives of people living under such conditions rather than books about the dictators themselves.

Thanks

Update:

Should have clarified this, I'm looking for books about historic/real life dictatorships.
