Christians, wouldn't it be better to die valiantly in battle and go to Valhalla?

than to die normally, and wind up in Hel? After all, if you _do_ die in glory, and there _isn't_ a Valhalla, then you haven't really lost anything. But of you didn't die in battle, and there _is_ a Valhalla, then you're kinda screwed aren't you?

"The realm of punishment was a shore made of corpses called Náströnd within Hel. Her realm is separated from the world of the living by a rapid river across which leads the Gjallarbrú that the dead have to pass. The gates are heavy, and close behind those who pass it and will never return again. Hel is the final destination of those who do not die in battle, but of old age or disease."

Update:

Wouldn't they need to have a Koran with them as well for that to work? Honestly, that would most likely be some kind of boyscout, cause they're _always_ prepared.

Update 2:

They could always carry both the Koran and the Bible in their backpack, leaving their hands free to do some good ol' fashion murderin.

Also, in case you haven't noticed the similarities, this is Pascal's wager being applied to a different religion.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to die in battle, carrying a bible and asking Jesus for forgiveness while praying to Allah.

EDUT: I was thinking of that, but you'd need at least one hand to carry a gun or a battle axe right?

I agree. It's almost as big as the difference between apes and hominids.
