Just like Prince, The Orb, Future Sounds of London, Lee Scratch Perry, The Chemical Brothers, and Bob Marley, plus a few more, including Depeche Mode, they are all enlightened. They are bringing forth a message in their songs that is kind of mystical or esoteric. Depeche is very talented with the music to match the words, like in Personal Jesus. The music fits the words perfectly. That is all I listen to. Depeche has been around since the 80's and still sounds good today. They are timeless music makers. Just like all the rest that I have mentioned. Timeless. You really can't put them in a category either, they have a variety of styles they can venture into. Not to many people do that. They usually target one or maybe two genres.

Both my children as teens together enjoyed depeche mode and it was just so brilliant their energy for the charts for me they would be up there because of the attachment to music for my children but I dont really have a best band - I like most everything but elevator music and musicals.
