The die-hard Obama supporters remind me of heroine addicts.

Much like an addict who experienced the "rush" of their first few uses of the drug, these supporters recall the euphoria they experienced on election night, 2008, and during the days immediately after wards and are desperately trying to recapture that magical feeling ( the tingle running up their leg).

But their "dealer" has "cut" the drug so many times that it requires such an ever increasing amount of the drug that the old feeling can not be recaptured.

And like the addict, this will never keep them from trying.

I still support Obama. I don't let the Republican Party and rightwing media manipulate how I think with their trumped up, overhyped "scandals." Even if all the accusations against the president are true, I still don't see that as worse than what the last Republican president did: starting our first pre-emptive war, based on lies, and almost sending us into another Great Depression.

I still support Obama due to a lack of better options. Republicans have nothing to offer accept attempts to assassinate the president's character. At least Obama proposes solutions to address our country's problems. I'd rather try them and see if they work than listen to Republican concerns after they've already proved their incompetence in managing our country.

I don't support Obama and never did. You like the wackos on this site?
