Aquarium snails: if they're bigger are they older?
I have a pearl snail with my betta, and two sunshine snails with the tetras. The sunshines are a couple years old, they're kind of small and haven't grown. The pearl snail is bigger than the other two, but is younger.
When we bought the pearl there were snails with it up to 5x its size, but I always assumed that meant they were older.
What determines snail size?

The type of snail and how much they eat determines their size, Think of them like Puppies for example. A toy breed and a Great Dane puppy are the same size does that means their the same age? Also I'm terrible at analogies but I hope you get my point.
