teenage gynecomastia?

I think I have gynecomastia and its really embarrassing. I am almost 17 now and have had it since when I was 14. I havent told a doctor yet and I cant talk to my parents about it either. I can never take my shirt off in public. I heard 60% of teens get this but most of them lose it in 2 years, and I haven't. Will I have this for life? What should I do? I really want it to go. Please help!

Many people either put up with them or get them removed by liposuction very succesfully. You need to shop around if you want to go down this route, the prices are falling all the time. You might be lucky and get it on the NHS - but you need to see a doctor and persuade him that the quality of your life is being affected.

This tends to be linked with body type

if you are Endomorphic then your body will lay down body fat

at start of puberty and be reluctant to lose it.

You may have a higher Oestrogen balance.

Watch your calorie intake, it should be burning off now.
