Vegan ways to lubricate curtain track?
I bought lightweight plastic curtain track and in the instructions it said to use furniture polish - but they all seem to have beeswax in them. I found silicone lubes in DIY and automotive shops - but there are dire environmental warnings on the cans.
So, any vegan ideas, please?
Yes, I know I've posted in Food and Drink, but there isn't a DIY section for vegans :-)

A little olive oil does the trick

It's taking every ounce of my self-control to answer this question politely and helpfully.
Graphite. Use graphite powder. It is commonly used to lubricate locks, and so can usually be found for sale alongside locks and related hardware. Alternatively, scribble excessively in the tracks with a pencil. The softer the lead the pencil has, the better.

Can you be sure of the provenance of the curtain track? I wouldn't risk it unless you saw it with it's mother. I think some lightweight plastics contain squished baby kumquats.

Buy on of those olive oil/vegetable oil spray thingies. Your curtains will glide like your soul! Guilt free and happy.
