Basically it means the car was wrecked and the insurance company claimed the car and sold it to a junkyard. Someone bought the totalled car and rebuilt it. Having the rebuilt title cuts costs of the vehicle tremendously. But I'd be very careful shopping for salvaged title cars if you didn't see their previous condition. They could have had minor cosmetic damage, or severe structural damage that could permanently effected the vehicle. I bought my 2011 mustang salvaged, but I saw it's wrecked state before having it rebuilt, and saved about $10K. If you don't know what the car looked like before, I'd stay away.

They've got a vehicle from a junk yard or insurance company and rebuild the vehicle. If I was you, I'd stay away from those, because you don't know enough to not get hurt in the long run. Good Luck on finding a good vehicle. messing with vehicles 49 yrs Be Care full
