Airplane mode on iPhone?
I'm about to go to Tampa, Florida and I'm in the airport waiting for our flight. I'm just wondering what does airplane mode do? Can I still text? I don't wanna be bored on the 2 1/2 hour flight. Thanks for the help!

Plane mode basically leaves your phone on but you can't text, use the Internet or call anyone, maybe bring a book or download some good apps? Have a good holiday :)

Airplane mode shuts off the telephone capability. If there is Wifi available on the plane, you can still connect to it. Otherwise, all you can do is play the games you already have loaded. Maybe you should buy a book to take along and read.

It turns of all data. No calls. Texting. Or games that use Internet to play.
You aren't allowed to text on the plane anyways.
