About 4-5 hours/night. Any less will definitely lead to big trouble over a long length of time. Delirium, dizzy spells, malaise, poor diet, lack of energy, muscle cramping, fatigue just to name a few.

Well I know some people who can function normally after just 4-5 hours sleep. I once tried this and trust me, I would never try it again! I lasted an hour before I had to go back to bed. Normally I would get 8-9 hours sleep which is the healthy amount of hours to sleep every night.
