I had them at the beginning of my treat meant for just under a year so I know exactly what you're going through.

When you're at home, wear them all the time. Talk a lot to relatives in your house (they'll know why you're finding it difficult to speak without spitting or sounding funny so they won't take the piss out of you). Just sing songs around the house as well, they'll get you used to the different pitches and speed of talking.

Yes there will be some words that you say funny, even after having them for ages. But don't let that scare you. I used to take them out a lot at school because it was hard to speak, but then i thought, F**k it and i just went for it. I wore it all the time round the house and pretty much all the time at school. After a few weeks or maybe a month, people got used to the me talking funny. Eventually your mouth gets used to it and you can carry on fine.

So my overall advice is; Wear them around the house, talk to family who understand and just sing out loud.
