Does Kyle Petty get paid by the word?
He jacks his jaws more than Darrell AND Michael Waltrip combined!
It doesn't seem to matter what show or what network he's on, the guy just never shuts up! It's even worse during race broadcasts- he repeats everything that he says 4 or 5 times and usually repeats what others say at least twice.
It wouldn't be so bad if he was more like Larry Mac, Jeff Hammond, or anybody else that actually knows what they're talking about.
Is he getting paid by the word?
Yes Paul, Larry Mac-FOR REAL!! The man was crew chief for multiple Winston Cup Championship winners and he has probably forgotten more about all things NASCAR than Kyle Petty will ever know.

He grew up in the sport, I think he's been around long enough to know what he's talking about.
At least he's honest and gives his opinion and doesn't sugar coat it unlike a lot of other play-by-guys.

I don't think so.
But I do agree he talks too much. But he always has. At least he's cut down on his off-topic rants.

I like the ESPN Nationwide Series commentators. All of the main ones are pretty damn good.

I like is input, so no I think he actually is a good "colorman" He does the broadcasts well.
