Kindly answer this question on tithe?
I was doing research and found that tithe should be 10% of my gross salary. I have tried to weigh in tithe into my budget but I don't make much money and hardly have enough money left for basics such as food. If I don't give as much as the 10%, I'm I sinning?

Tithe is an OT temple tax. Jesus fulfilled that law. The tithe was a requirement of the law in which all Israelites were to give 10 percent of everything they earned and grew to the Tabernacle/Temple (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5).
Paul states that believers should set aside a portion of their income in order to support the church (1 Corinthians 16:1-2). Above all, all offerings should be given with pure motives and an attitude of worship to God and service to the body of Christ. “Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).
If you read the story about Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5:1-11) you see how important it is we do not set the weight on the amount, but the heart and attitude. Peter very clearly tells them that the money was their to keep. About the widow that gave "two mites" (Mark 12:41-44), Jesus say: "this poor widow has put in more than all"

I'm not sure which religion you are, but I can answer this from an LDS/Mormon perspective. Tithing is paid with faith, not money. I have paid my tithing many times when I didn't know how I was going to make ends meet. Somehow, things have always worked out. Once, I was short for the month $50. I paid a full tithe of 10% anyway. That month I got a check from my doctor's office telling me that my insurance had paid $500 more than they had expected so they were returning my copay. I have had many such experiences.
I will also say that from an LDS/Mormon perspective some members believe they should pay 10% of their gross salary while some believe they should pay 10% of their net salary. It is up to the individual member to make this decision. Also, if a member cannot make ends meet they can ask their bishop for help with things like getting enough food. But even members who receive food vouchers from their bishop should still pay 10%. I don't know what religion you belong to, but it is likely that there is a support system in place for your church to help you out if you are in financial trouble.

No
The tithe was instituted for the support of the Temple.
While Christians are to set aside an amount to give as support to the church, that amount is not required to be a tithe (a 1/10th), but what you decide to give according to your means.
See links below to passages from 1st and 2nd Corinthians. Take note of v 12 in the 2nd.

The Jewish laws of the OT specified 10% of everything, not just money, but crops etc, but the New Covenant established by Jesus's death and resurrection did away with the keeping of certain rules - obeying the rules as specified in the Old Testament is impossible anyway as we are sinful human beings who cannot satisfy God's high demands.
The principle laid down in the New Testament is that Christians SHOULD give to God's work, not to earn favour but because we love God; we cannot never give God more than He has already given us! However, there is no specified amount. We are just told to give, and that God loves a cheerful giver. We should not give grudgingly, but with a willing spirit, of what we can afford. That still means putting God first.
Jesus and his disciples witnessed the religious leaders putting large amounts in the collection box. A poor widow just put in a small coin. Yet she was the one Jesus commended, not the religious leaders; she gave all she had, whereas they gave from their vast wealth and had kept most for themselves.
When the early Church had been established, there are various instances recorded where the brothers and sisters made collection for those in need; each gave according to their means.

Romans 10:4 - "Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness."
Tithing was a part of the Mosiac Law. God used Christ to bring that Law to its end. Our having a righteous standing with God depends on faith in Christ, not on tithing. See also Galatians 4:9-11 and Ephesians 2:13-16.

Christians DO NOT Tithe

No you are not sinning, Christians do not have to tithe but the person that is teaching you tithe is sinning. You should not even eat with that person.

Some people argue that it is your net, not your gross. Some scriptures talk about paying tithing on your "increase." I think you should pay all your bills and buy the necessities before you worry about giving money to the church. God would not want you to suffer.

No where does the Bible say you MUST give 10% of your income. Since you've done 'research', I'd like to see the book/chapter/verse.
Tithing isn't just about money, but also about time, talents, abilities....

tithe = 10% by definition
but tithing is not scriptural in the New Testament
we give what we can and what our hearts tell us
please read this....
2Cr 9:6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
2Cr 9:7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure. "For God loves a person who gives cheerfully." [fn]
2Cr 9:8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.
2Cr 9:9 As the Scriptures say, "They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever." [fn]
2Cr 9:10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity [fn] in you.
2Cr 9:11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
2Cr 9:12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem [fn] will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
2Cr 9:13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient to the Good News of Christ.
2Cr 9:14 And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you.
2Cr 9:15 Thank God for this gift [fn] too wonderful for words!
