Adult circumcision after effects?

I just had a circumcision done 3 days ago. By the way I'm 18. I've noticed that below the head it is very swollen and purple. I had wrapping right under the head to cover the stitches but I removed some because I felt it gave to much pressure. Is it normal for the lower are of the penis to be very swollen and purple?

Sounds like what happened to me. It looked terrible for the fist week (shorter, swollen, black and blue, dried blood on the stitches, etc). Between the tenth and fourteenth day the stitches fell out. After a month it was back to its normal size and working condition. Just wait it out.

Circumcision is a very serious operation. It is normal for it to be swollen and purple for a while. Circumcision severs blood vessels and interferes with blood circulation into the penis.

I hope you are not dissatisfied with the results because circumcision is irreversible. There is no going back.

The foreskin is a complex double-layered structure composed of smooth muscle fiber, skin, mucosa, nerves, arteries, and veins. It is natural, normal, healthy, and its possession contributes to a sense of well-being. The foreskin has protective, sensory, sexual, and immunological functions. It is loaded with nerves and is the site of most of the penile sensation. The foreskin is a “specific erogenous zone.” The operation is irreversible. Amputation of the foreskin, which is an integral and important part of the penis has very significant adverse sexual and emotional effects. Circumcision is an injurious, damaging, destructive, and harmful surgical operation. You have the rest of your life to mourn what you have lost.

"Adults who undergo circumcision report less-satisfying sex, reduced sensitivity and erectile function, difficulty with intromission and increased premature ejaculation."

And no, it's not normal; there is nothing normal about cutting up the male penis.

Circumcision is a fraud and a hoax.

A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright.
