CaseStudy - Child Behaviour Problems?
For my NVQ Lv2 in Child Care, ive been asked to write a case study on a child with behavioural problems and how we dealt with it by placing a strategy in place.
Ive no idea what to write as we havent had any children with behavioural problems that weve needed to deal with in that way.
Does anyone have an idea or example of something i could use for this? Ive been doing it all day and kept putting this question off as i cant think of what to write!
Thanks xx

Actually, I am always pretty surprised when students don't use the Internet to get the information that they need. And actually, one answerer is quite wrong. They don't want your opinion for this paper, they want the facts and a solution to the problem.
Have you tried putting, "case study, behavior problem' in your search engine? You will find plenty of material. It is also too bad they didn't give you much guidance as to what to do.

Writing the childs behavior in a journal for a week would give you a baseline what you see or notice with the child.
Example:
What time of the day the behavior begins.
How long long does the temper tantrum last?
Does this happen before snack or after lunch time.
Is there any physical agression on another student or another staff member?
Are they crying, screaming, running around, kicking their feet?
Is the classroom loud or quiet when this occurs.
Is the child not feeling well. headache / stomach aches.
At the end of the week you can try to figure out what triggers this behavior.

Well, they are asking for YOUR opinions, not those of other people. They want you to think it through and use your imagination. It won't help you to understand the problems if all you do is copy other people's ideas.
Sorry!
