JFS is 100% right. Any hvac contractor who does business with Lennox can exchange warranty parts with the proper paperwork that documents the installation date of the equipment. A copy of the invoice from the installation of the equipment would document this. In cases where the manufacture date is less than 10 years past they typically don't even ask for the documentation.
I have never had an issue with Lennox being anything but helpful with warranty claims and technical support in the many years I have been in the hvac contracting business. They stand behind their products and warranties.

Warranties are issued by the manufacturer of the equipment, not the contractor that installed it. The contractor can sell you an extended warranty, but the warranty is still issued by the manufacturer.
So, no matter what contractor you use, as long as they are a licensed dealer, they can contact the manufacturer and get parts under any existing warranty attached to the serial number(s) of the equipment.

What is the brand?...and do you have just a manufacturers parts warranty or ten years parts and labor?ten year parts from factory is registered to that piece of equipment/you can write a letter of request with for instance carrier corporation and request a different service company.if its strictly factory parts warranty/get the registration info(when the equipment was installed)etc.find a legitimate authorized dealer for your brand and simply call another company...maybe you just need a
second opinion...supply more info...you'll get more accurate help.

the guarantee comes from the company that made the AC. another company is not going to guarantee a product they didn't make. you have the ten year guarantee until it runs out, but
another company is not going to honor it. you have to deal with the company the guarantee is from.
