    - Try unplugging all other devices from tv, then hook up pc to tv with hdmi cable. If it does not work, try different hdmi inputs on tv. Make sure your on the right video input channel (hdmi).

    For computer to receiver/tv audio:

    - Make sure your outputting rear or hdmi or s/pdif audio. Also make sure your outputting digital audio.

    - Download k-lite codec pack for media player classic or download vlc player or download kmplayer (ffdshow decoder for k-lite, other two players have built in audio decoders, configure their settings).

    - Tip: You can use a audio editor like audacity (+mp3+ffmpeg encoders) to amplify each channel how ever much you want, just don't amplify to 0db or past that or you would get clipping=bad. Only amplify LFE/subwoofer/bass channel a little.

    - For hdmi or displayport, you have to see if your graphics card has audio outputs for these ports and don't forget to select hdmi audio.

    For computer to tv video:

    - Computer can have a tv-out function (check tv-out resolutions and tv resolutions.ect) that can be capable of doing primary monitor view and multiple monitors (extended view or clone/dual view).

    - You may have to change pc resolutions/bpp/hz, -> display properties -> adapter -> list all modes (you may have to change tv resolution too).

    - Methods: Use display properties settings or a control center settings.ect

    or

    - If computer does not support multiple monitors (simultaneously) view, but still has a tv-out function it should still be capable of doing primary monitor view.

    - Method 1: Use a control center for your display/graphics card (or display properties settings).

    - Example: I have a ati/amd display driver. I downloaded a matching version of catalyst control center and used it's basic view settings to set my tv as my primary monitor + many more settings.

    - Method 2: Turn computer and tv off -> disconnect your desktop computer monitor -> hook up video cable from computer to tv -> turn tv onto either video 1-3 or hdmi.ect -> then turn on computer and video will display on tv as your primary monitor.

    - Tip: If your using a low resolution cable -> choose a low resolution such as 640x480 -> ccc -> basic view -> tv+cable -> full screen video mode=hd with overscan -> media player classic, use numpads to adjust screen. Also use ffdshow video decoder to improve video quality of the files your playing.
