Barrel diameters of 10/22?
I was wondering what are some of the standard barrel diameters of 10/22s? I'm putting mine together and I didn't want a .920" bull barrel, I was looking for something a little slimmer. Besides the .920" barrel, what are the other common sizes for barrel diameters of the 10/22? I would also like recommendations of certain companies who make barrels of these sizes. Thanks.

The only 2 "standards" are the factory taper barrel and the 920 bull barrel. If weight is a concern, look at Whistlepig gun barrels, Tactical Solutions, and Beyer Barrels. Whistle Pig makes some fancy colors if you're in to that.
If you want a stainless steel barrel match grade barrel, some companies like Lilja offer a "varmint" barrel profile that is a compromise between the thin factory taper and the think bull barrel. However, it may be tricky to find a stock that exactly matches a "varmint" profile. You will probably need to use a stock for a bull barrel, bed the action in the stock, and free-float the barrel (tricky in a 10/22).

Take some kind of measuring device and actually MEASURE one....do your own work. Since you already know what the biggest barrel is...I would say the others will be smaller...wouldn't you ?
