is it legal to download streaming videos directly from a website that gives you the option?
i don't wanna get a bunch of threatening/warning e-mails from my internet provider for illegally downloading stuff.

Just because a website gives the option to download a video does not make it legal or illegal.
The legality all depends on what you are downloading, AND if the website has permission to download those videos.
That sadly is the only answer I can give you.

i exploit real participant 11 (beta/ gold) for this purpose. basically set up it on your laptop. whilst a video streaming starts, real participant exhibits a button on it to receive. Then that is purely a count of single click and that's it. Video is downloaded.
