American civil rights leader and Baptist minister, Rev. Jesse Jackson, has thrown his weight behind the decision of President Goodluck Jonathan to offer amnesty to members of the Islamic sect, Boko Haram.

Jesse Jackson wants amnesty for Muslim terrorists who have killed 10,000 in Nigeria.

Jessy Jackson is under the illusion I believe that he can make nice & keep these muslim terrorist from believing in what they believe. Historically it has proven time & time again not to work.

Jesse Jackson has political pull & the means to talk to these foreign leaders. He is able to convince the black community & the left of having them in our country. Some of these Nigerian muslim extremist are already here & your tax dollars pays for it as well as mine.

Speaking in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Friday, Jackson, who was a guest speaker at a lecture organised by the state government as part of activities marking the 2013 edition of Isaac Boro memorial anniversary, said if properly handled, the amnesty programme would tackle insecurity in the country.

For the programme to work, he said all its terms and conditions must be honoured.

He said, “The amnesty must involve economic restitution, jobs and training. Within the United States,when there was civil unrest,there was a kind of state of emergency."

    Jesse doesn't hold any political office so what a private citizen holds dear as his beliefs is irrelevant to me.

    Why am I supposed to care? The right has this bizarre obsession with Jackson. They follow anything and everything he does and they somehow got it onto their heads that he represents all Democrats or speaks for the entire black community. Most people couldn't care less what Jesse does.

    Regardless, if you read the article you linked to it becomes clear that your question treats Jackson's views very superficially. The question misrepresents what those views actually are. In short, you seem more interested in bashing Jackson than you are in examining ALL of the facts.

    It's always important for a race hustler and shakedown artist to be on the lookout for more lines of business. Not sure where the profits would be here quite yet, but I'm sure Jesse has a plan
