i have a 2000 poniac grand am it was diagnosed with random multiple misfire and so i put in a cam shaft sensor coil packs spark plugs and wires and a egr valve it still has a misfire i dont know what else to try because a mechanic told me it wasnt fuel pump or filter or timeing belt but also had him puzzled its not back firing just idles hard and slightly smell gas but was told that where i just changed all that stuff today that i would smell it for a while untill it burnt the rest of the way out of the exhaust or whatever.it doesnt quit when driving just sometimes when you start it up it starts for a second i do mean a second then dies and you just have to turn key over again and you can hear a bad strong hard idle ... took it to autozone after words and had them turn off check engine light and immediately after i started up and pulled into R it came back on ... so had em plug in the machine again hoping for a better answer since i changed everything and still says multiple misfire i dont know what else to try so plz help!!!!!!!!!! anyone who knows or has delt with this idk what else to do

there is also a crank position sensor in the ignition system that needs to be changed
if not the crank sensor, then go to a junk yard or ebay and get another computer for $40
there is not a timing belt on the engine
it could also be a melted wire or a wire rubbing on the engine and grounding out, etc
autozone cannot legally reset your check engine light --- their company policy is very clear, they will fire an employee that resets computers.....

nicely whether that isn't any longer leaking or dropping coolant i could positioned the previous thermostat and the previous sensor decrease back in to be sure if the undertaking is going away. additionally try bleeding the air out as a results of fact the radiator fill could no longer be the extreme element interior the device. There could be a bleeder screw on the thermostat housing and yet another one above the water pump, interior the 'plumbing' that takes the coolant around the engine. those could nicely be opened particularly and then run the engine till coolant comes out.

You know these engines are bad on intake manifold and head gaskets, right? Those cause misfires, you know. Misfires come from fuel, spark and compression (intake.head gaskets) issues.
So...why fire your parts cannon and replace random parts if you don't know what you are doing?
