who among the three women CMs is the best in administration?

Sheila Mamata and Jaya are the present three women CMs each with their own unique qualities rule the State/ UT.

Ms Sheila is known for her cool nature, clean admin and growth performance etc though she did face some complaints of favouritism during the Asian Games; people would believe that her officials should have overstepped her due to pressures from top party dignitaries rather than acted under CM's orders. Again the violence against women etc for which the city is notorious for is a bane for which also she would not be responsible as the city police are not under her Govt control but administered directly by Central govt. So let us take her other achievements for scoring.

Mamata is a simple but aggressive woman known for her support of the poor, the farmers etc Her irritable temperament and hasty actions are a great minus points that could cloud her good performance otherwise!

Jaya had matured over her earlier terms in office and determined to give a clean dynamic govt. She takes all out efforts to set right the acute shortages of Power, clean up public distribution, streamline law and order etc Her drive against land grabbers with political clout, gained her a praise from all. She is not hesitant to shuffle top brass in depts or her own ministerial colleagues for lax performance. She reportedly is working over time to achieve significant progress in all fronts. She is also very intolerant to the opponents particularly the DMK, the MDMK the PMK etc who are busy attending court cases for street violence to hate speeches! A good dose of vengeance can not be ruled out but the cases framed are strong (which would have been ignored if they had not antagonised her..)

Now with what you know from media news, besides what I had shared from my side, what is your estimate of the three women in overall goodness? Do share your scores out of 10 for each, with probable reasons for the -/+ over the others

At a time when women quota in legislative / administrative posts is being talked for years, an assessment of these great women who managed to reach the top post in the States would be appropriate.

Thanks for your time.

Update:

Master Mind, I fully seem to go with you in respect of the views on Mamtaji and Sheilaji, but you have not said much about Jaya and seem to have taken my brief here as the full and final description. And I fully appreciate your perception of women who won under gender quota in local bodies - being figure heads, with their men folk driving the show by proxy. But the case of urban women is different. They are capable and confident too and can shine in every field with few exceptions. In fact the women in police, Revenue, Registration etc are often as bad as men in corruption! We have quite a few excellent women burearucrats, medicos and social workers too!

Update 2:

Karthik, you seem to have over estimated Sheila madam who enjoys proximity and support of Soniaji and hence secures solid party support. She is a personally clean (rather than officially good) administrator and does slip in the matters like allowing officials claim boosted expenditure (like for street lighting), favouritism in allotment of works etc during Asian Games and came to much criticism since the expert appointed by PM himself also confirmed the earlier Enq committee's finding against her. She could brave a dismissal of PM's chosen expert also, just because of her powerful clout with party chief.

But Ms Jaya has no such condition here. She is watched with eagle eyes of rabid opposition who go to streets with massive party supporters to press their views. she also treats opponents with scant respect and never tires to keep them on tender hooks! The problems created by dozen regional parties nearly on daily basis takes away her time besides the problems of absconding/ a

Update 3:

contd..

absconding/ abducted fishermen, power crisis, strikes by advocates, students, etc going to streets for some or other issues have also to be looked into. This is also much bigger state than UT that Delhi is! If she is bit cool headed and tackles with less jerk with Karuna's daily attacks of her govt programmes, the struggles of PMK, DMDK etc, she can be much more productive! She is deliberately being disturbed by local parties in vengeance and animosity!

Still I won't insist on her being scored high for my sake. I want the perception of the others in objective comparison with other two.

Sheila Dixit has done work on ground to an extent though she cannot be marked quite well on the 10 point scale. Delhi,as a National Capital territory is administered differently from other states. The police is not answerable to the CM's office; there are squabbles between MCD and state govt which are ruled by different parties at different instances; MCD/DDA hold higher weightage here than other places; the Lieutenant Governor is a powerful office; there's confusion among people over the jurisdiction of state and union govt etc. Onus lies in bipolar form.

Mamata Banerjee is a jerk. A highly fickle minded lady who's emergence to power can be attributed more to disillusionment with communist rule than her own prowess. She supports maoists under the garb of being pro poor (she appeared on stage once with a maoist leader); being a woman, she has passed insensitive comments over incresing cases of female harrasment including rape, even by her party cadres; she talks irresponsibly-threatening to slap the PM and more such remarks.

By your account of the performance of TN's CM, I feel she has done the best by far.

It is good to see women participating in active politics but their strenght is quite limited. The present LS fares very poorly with only 11% women parliamentarians. Even at the panchayati level where women get reservation, it has been noticed that most act as proxy leaders, with major decisions lying with the male patron, be it husband, father or father in law. Most women enter politics on their persistance so that the family constituency does not fall in others' hands. They, however have no knowledge of their job as they never get a chance to act. But history is full of evidences that whereever women have participated with free will, they have delivered exceedinly better over their male counterparts. Exceptions exist and these exceptions make the real difference.

Sheila a sluggish CM she cant take bold decision, Mamatha a arrogant but she cant think beyond the future, But Jaya a Aggressive and proactive too. She is having a clear vision on what she is doing and what to do. i can say Sheila + Mamatha = Jaya. Sheila scores 3 out of 10, Mamatha 4 out of 10 and Jaya holds 7 out of 10.

Sheila Dixit is the best chief minister amongst three.

Delhi was in pathetic state till she came around. She has turned the state around with Delhi Metro , bridges , overall development in healthcare and bhagidari scheme

She has little political power , but cong rides her success as a good administrator

with contrast Mamta only knows how to rant and is a bad example of a politician

Jaya has shown herself as capable over a period of time and has enjoyed unfettered political power , she pales a little in front of Sheila

Sheila takes orders from Congress high command , obeys high command and therefore scores "0" on her own . Mamata fights against injustice to the masses and scores "5" on the scale . Jaya always is forced to work under pressure and discouragement from Congress and Karunanidhi but succeeds in smooth ruling . She scores "8"

"is that this an issue-loose mythconception between women persons?" --i have not in any respect heard of a lady declaring that earlier, notwithstanding it does no longer wonder me if that's problem-loose in some circles. "the position might want to such craziness come from?" --i visit in basic terms blame it on third wave feminism, because to be frank, it appears like some thing a thorough feminist might want to say(no longer declaring your buddy is one). notwithstanding it is also possible that she in basic terms isn't as wise in this section as different issues. human beings might want to be incredibly wise multiple the time and not in any respect no individual element about a particular subject.

I don't think any of them. What all you have said for them is only on papers or very little is happening. Quite unfortunate, whoever, either a lady or a gent, but on politics she/he is ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,. Not one I have come across.
