Are we becoming more hatefull as a whole, meaning society, by the day?

Why does it seem that the majority of people in American society today treat others empathetic beliefs as a trait or Sign of weakness?

Update:

Ok sorry i mean all societies, your right.

Its not. As in, the American society is probably the top one you'll find, if you want to see a hatefull society come to Europe, I live here, but have also lived in Canada before, and N America and Europe are night and day. There will be axxholes everywhere on the planet, but overall the American society is unselfish, helpful, kind, easy to pixx off, and very proud. The Eu society is just easy to pixx off and proud, but the proud part is for no reason the way I see it. As I said all you have to do is compare the two societies and you wont see the American society negative at all.

Yerp. We disagree on everything but it's for a reason. We aren't going to be a perfect society. I rather have a society were we disagree and have conversations about our differences rather than to agree on everything. Basically no person is the same.

American society has historically, most of the time been hateful. As well as almost every other society.

    It's just human nature.
