IF Trayvon was never shot... would he be on trial for felony assault and battery on Zimmerman?

Lets say George Zimmerman never had a gun.....

Would Zimmerman be on trial for anything?

Would Trayvon be on trial for at least Felony assault/battery , possible murder charges if no help came for Zimmerman?

What law did Zimmerman break?

Usually, if I feel like I'm being followed, i try to disappear.

Never once have I thought to attack the person following me, specifically because I thought they might be , cops, be armed, or have accompaniment.

People keep saying the Martin had no choice. I've been followed more than once, and attacking my follower was never an option that came to mind.

  • No, what happened was due to George Zimmerman's mistake and unwillingness to listen to proper instructions. The altercation was due to a direct result of George Zimmerman's mistakes. Trayvon Martin had EVERY right to defend himself against a stranger who was following him, I would become defensive and aggressive if someone were following me too. This whole thing was because George Zimmerman made bad judgement calls. If George Zimmerman made the right decisions, this would never have happened. TM would be alive and he could have just gone on his way.

If ZImmerman didn't have a gun his wussy *** would never have chased down and assaulted Trayvon. He would have stayed home.

But even if he had chased down Trayvon sans gun he would have probably been charged with assault and Trayvon would have been defending himself.

they think of it concerns that Zimmerman "accompanied" Trayvon and that gets rid of someones precise to self protection. whether Zimmerman "profiled" Trayvon based upon race & accompanied him, Trayvon remains no longer allowed to attack him (and not something Zimmerman did became unlawful). So Zimmerman could nonetheless be allowed his precise to self protection. Edit: Why do dimwits forget relating to the reality that Zimmerman stalked and accosted Treyvon regardless of being instructed to no longer? it fairly is a criminal offense, too. by all ability tutor me the place Zimmerman "accosted" Treyvon. Likewise tutor me that Zimmerman "stalked" Treyvon (and word there's a distinctive between stalking and following in accordance to Florida regulation). Likewise, tutor me that police officer especially reported "WE ORDER YOU to no longer stick to HIM!" and Zimmerman had a accountability to obey. Oh it extremely is stable, you won't be in a position to. Neither ought to the prosecutor who tried the case and due to this Zimmerman wasn't got here upon responsible on Manslaughter (prosecutor wouldn't have even attempt 2nd degree murderr).

Probably not. It would have been a he said/he said situation. I don't think the cops would have spent much time investigating it.

    "What law did Zimmerman break?"

Ever hear of preemptive war? That's what the US engaged in when we invaded Iraq. If a stranger is following you at night and you don't know what their intentions are, you might be justified in initiating the confrontation yourself, on your own terms. The doctrine of self defense applies to Martin as well as Zimmerman, Martin had an absolute right to protect himself. For all we know GZ could have swung at Martin and Martin could have over reacted in order to protect himself from what he perceived to be a threat. It is a gross oversimplification to try and distill it all down to "What law did Zimmerman break?".

Unlikely, unless Zimmerman could prove that Martin started the conflict. He chased Martin.

Since there is not one shred of evidence Trayvon attacked Zimmerman, and the claim contractions every phone log of the police and his private phone calls, that would be a no, Bob.

Either that or 2nd Degree Murder, depending on if he beat Zimmerman to death before the police that Zimmerman called got there. Nobody would be marching calling for "Justice for George."

No. Zimmerman would have simply gotten his *** kicked as he deserved. He would have went home and cried about "Those people" to his wife and Trayvon would have went home and watched the All star game.

Martin defended himself against a creepy nut with a gun who stalked him.

Getting ones head scratched on a sidewalk and a zit on your nose, does not warrant assault/battery charges.
