Why do I have white spots in my finger nails?

How can I get rid of them? Why are they there?

    That is calcium build up, mineral spots arent harmful. You do nothing, just let your nsil grow out, unless you want to cover with nail polish wich I doubt!.

    I suggest you google white spots fingernails and zinc. Have read some years ago white spots on fingernails come from zinc deficiency. When zinc levels are normalized, the white spots should grow out with the fingernail.

    You can't get rid of them I have some my self. They are there because if you have ever smashed your finger or a situation like that it's just they scar so it won't go away.
