Taxonomic Classification for Chromobacterium violaceum?
I can not find this information anywhere online besides wikipedia. Can someone tell me this information please and provide a good, online source?
(Wikipedia is awesome but according to schools and teachers it's not).
Thanks!

Until today I would have told you that there is no definitive on-line information for this but I have just found that there is an on-line version of part of Bergey's Manual of Systematic Bacteriology at this site http://www.bergeys.org/ It doesn't have all the information in the books but it does have a taxonomy breakdown. You'll find C. violaceum in this volume http://www.bergeys.org/outlines/bergeysoutline_1_2... Just do a search for Chromobacterium and then just walk the tree backwards (scroll up to find order, family, class, etc.) Not convenient but a rare resource nevertheless.
