I have consistently had palpitations throughout the day for the last 3 days. Last couple weeks I was studying for a grad school exam and have stopped working out completely and probably gained a couple pounds. Is this a realistic cause? Never had this issue before.

I'm looking to burn fat and build muscle. Doing Weight training and cardio. I eat a lot during the day especially protein and I make sure I have good carbs before running, but I always feel hungry during a 30min cardio session. Why is that? Is it normal? I don't want to burn muscle! Thanks :)

Find an equation of the tangent line to the curve y=x radical x that is parallel to the line y=1+3x.

=x * x^(1/2)

=x^(3/2)

Derivative of that = (3/2)x^(1/2)

This is as far as I got. What do I do from there?

A. At what points is the function discontinuous? Give Reasons.

B. At what points is the function non-differentiable? Give Reasons for your answers.

For part A. I had at (-1,0) the function is discontinuous because of a vertical tangent. Was there any other points of discontinuity?

And part b I didn't understand.

Find the point where the graphs of f(x)=x^3-2x and g(x)=0.5x^2-1.5

are tangent to each other; or have a common tangent line.

I'm pretty sure I have to find the derivatives of each and set them equal to eachother. Do I then just solve for x? My answer is seems weird. Can you explain how you would go about this problem please?

I play Civilization War by gamezen. There was an error on the home screen of the game, so I did what I do with every other game I've played. Delete the app and go to reinstall it. However, this time I could not reinstall as it seems the game is not in the App Store.

A manufacturer wants to design an open box with a square base and a surface area of 108 square inches. What dimensions will maximize the volume of the box?

I understand how to solve using the calculator I just need some help finding the two equations to use.

The square base would tell me l=w, and V=l x w x h so we can make Volume=L^2h=Max

Read as 2 times 3 to the x power, equals 5 times 2 to the x power.

The answer I got is x=log2/(log(3) - log(5/2))

Read as x equals the log of 2 divided by the log of 3 minus the log of the fraction 5 over 2.

Am i correct? I am confused because the decimal number i get when plugging this answer into the calculator is not making each side of the equation equal when checking my answer.
