i was in a park after dark with a friend and a cop gave us a ticket. i have to appear in court this week and i have no idea what to expect. i'm a teenager from long island and i'm extremely nervous because i don't want to have a criminal record. what should i wear/do/prepare for going to court?? is it likely that i will have a criminal record or that they will dismiss it and put me on probation? please any details about the entire process in general would be greatly appreciated.

The judge will give you a lecture and maybe a fine.
