Ocean at the End of the Land (Neil Gaiman) question?

At the start of Chapter 4 it says that the boy has won 25 pounds on the premium bonds. Then it says "Even so, I was rich. Thirteen pounds eleven shillings than I had been moments before."

Why the difference in number? Am I reading this wrong?

He wins the Premium Bonds in chapter 3 of my copy. I have multiple copies and checked each for a misprint.

From mine: "Even so, I was rich. Twenty-five pounds richer than I had been moments before."

Are you reading a physical copy or an ebook version?

Either he already has £12 or he gave that amount away.
