  • With Scottrade why can't you use Restricted funds to buy stock less than $3?

It's not a problem, I'm just curious why this rule exists. To quote the site "Restricted Funds represent recent Money Direct deposits and uncleared check deposits. These funds cannot be used to purchase stocks under $3"

Why the $3 limit? What issue could arise with a cheaper stock that wouldn't arise with a more expensive one?

  • Law of attraction question: taking action?

A few years ago I got really into the Law of Attraction ("The Secret", Abraham-Hicks, Shakti Gawain etc.) and had amazing success. I then became complacent and lapsed, and things fell apart.

I'm now back, but I have a question about taking action that I hope to get some insight on.

If you have something to do that you are dreading (making a phone call, sending an email etc.), something that will have an outcome that relates to a desire, is is better to hold off, try some exercises and wait until you feel like you have a better vibration? Or is this just prevaricating? Should you take the action in the hope that getting it out of the way will improve your vibration?

    Thanks!

P.S. This might not be the right category for this, if you want to suggest a better one please go ahead.

  • What is really going on in the Nigella Lawson / Charles Saatchi case?

Given the amount the PAs are accused of stealing is around £580,000, and both Nigella Lawson and Charles Saatchi are multimillionaires, why was this case brought when they knew it would mean washing all of their dirty laundry in public?

It cannot be about the money.

    Anyone have insight?

  • Can you apply Fermat's last theorem here?

Over on "Homework help" someone posted this question ...

Prove that there are no integers a,b and c that satisfy this equation.

    a^3 + b^3 = 7c^3 +3

Now this seems to me to be an extension of Fermat's Last Theorem in the case n=3. Or am I missing something really obvious?

    This ones got me stumped!

  • Ocean at the End of the Land (Neil Gaiman) question?

At the start of Chapter 4 it says that the boy has won 25 pounds on the premium bonds. Then it says "Even so, I was rich. Thirteen pounds eleven shillings than I had been moments before."

Why the difference in number? Am I reading this wrong?
