After Transmission fluid is changed in car do you have to let it warm up?
My transmission fluid was very low. I just took my car in this morning and had Transmission fluid change performed. My car is an Automatic but while driving after wards it is slipping when driving off from a full stopped position. However it seems to run fine once it get's out of first and second gear. Any suggestions? Or do I have to give the car some warm up time since I just had the fluid replaced? My car is an Automatic V6 Honda Accord year 2002 and has 99,800 miles on it.
It was done my a Honda guy with HONDA FLUID. Fyi

Was is slipping before you had the fluid change?
There is probably a fluid leak since it is low. I have a 2000 and just went over 100K miles, the trans fluid does not get low, it just gets dirty, then I have the fluid changed.
Your transmission is probably on its way out.
It will take more than a fluid change to fix it.

BAD MOVE! HONDA requires SPECIAL HONDA ONLY FLUID< and you need to go to HONDA for this service or it will be WRONG!!! You will have to get job done RIGHT at HONDA AGAIN!!! There is NO generic fluid for it! GOOD LUCK!

checking the level would be a good starting point. it is done with the trans warm and the engine off.
