Ever ovulated on day 7?

We're trying for our 3rd and final child. We've had two boys and never had any trouble conceiving (average has been 1.5 months of trying). Anyway, we're trying to conceive a girl - you know have sex 2-3 days before you ovulate, woman doesn't orgasm, shallow penetration, etc (we realize that not much of this is in our control - but we figured it was worth a shot). I've never used ovulation tests before until recently. I'm on day 7 of my 28 days cycle and I got a faint positive. From what I understand you don't typically ovulate until day 14. Is this a false reading or am I really ovulating this early in my cycle?

When you get two darker lines, that is when you would be ovulating. I had three boys and then finally had my girl. I did not follow any rules other than having sex 2 days before I was supposed to ovulate. I tracked my cycle for months, so that I would know when I was supposed to ovulate. If you have a 28 day cycle most women ovulate on or around day 14. So you should try and have sex on day 12 of your cycle for a girl. With all of my other pregnancies I did not track my cycle as well as I did with my daughter, after she was born I had another boy, and I am currently pregnant with my 5th son. Good luck!
