I prayed for a limb to grow back, but I'm not an amputee. Now there's an arm growing out of my back?

Why does prayer work this way?

Update:

Fireball: If I wee an amputee and prayed for my limb to grow back, it wouldn't work.

Update 2:

Fireball: If I "were" an amputee and prayed for my limb to grow back, it wouldn't work.
