if the pope francis is the pope of the poor people as someone said then why did accept to live in the vatican?
as a King and he accepted go to brazil meanwhile there are people protesting, I am catholic but I don't find any reason of making this pope a big deal, he lives in the Vatican and in a good place and the people say he is good with the poor people because they are saying his past in his country but he didn't live as Christ did, he is living as a King so how can I explain that he says to preach the gospel and to leave everything for the Gospel of Christ?

The Pope is 76 years old, works long hours seven days a week, earns no salary, has no personal fortune (in fact he has taken a vow of poverty), and and will probably work until he dies in office. He lives alone in a rent-free apartment in the middle of an old museum. His food and clothing are donated to him by the free will offerings of Catholics all over the world.
WWJD? What would Jesus do?
Jesus Christ worked long hours, earned no salary, had no personal fortune, and worked until his death at the age of 33. He stayed rent free in whatever homes would welcome him. His food and clothing were donated to him by the free will offerings of his followers.
With love in Christ.

A humble person accepts what he is offered. Pope Francis was elected Pope, and he accepted the invitation. The invitation included housing that already was owned by the Catholic Church. He accepted the housing that was offered. It would be the height of arrogance, and I think foolishness, to refuse the housing that has existed for the Pope for centuries.
With all due respect, I must suggest to you what I have suggested to many who raise questions about how the Catholic Church spends money. While you and I sit on our butts enjoying the internet, there are people who are hungry, others who are sleeping outdoors because they have no shelter, and many who need medical care but can not get it.
I contribute financially, from my modest means, to help the poor. I also do some things directly to help the poor and needy. I do NOT, however, give up my own food, shelter, clothing or many other things to help anyone. So long as you and I have luxuries, like electricity and internet service, I think it is unreasonable that we accuse others of living too luxuriously. I think that especially is true for people, like the Pope, who do not actually personally own the property they enjoy.
The Pope works hard, and he humbly accepts what the Catholic Church offers him.
I think that is the sign of a just man.
I am Roman Catholic.
Peace be with you.

How do you know he is living as a king? I remember when Pope Pius XII died people were surprised at the modesty of his papal apartments. He didn't have a lamp but a light bulb hanging from the wall.
See the Vatican isn't his. He living quarters are a very small part of it. Actually this pope hasn't moved into the Papal living quarters but is living in a hotel room on the Vatican grounds

This pope should have no effect whatsoever on American politics. This isn't a theocracy, it's a democratic republic and not based on or beholden to any religion.

Kindly withdraw your Question, as hitting below the belt is ungentlemanly.

You are surely lying when you say you are catholic.
.
.
You are trying to imply that you are Roman Catholic.
"Catholic" means "universal," and some Protestant prachers used this trick to get Roman Catholics to come to their Crusades, and maybe get Born Again, and probably donate offerings to their Church.

I hate Roman Catholicism, and I like very much how ostentatious they are- it is like the stupid wolf putting bells on his neck and paws! No TRUE Christian will go NEAR those idiots!
.
.
Just because the Pope supports the Poor that shouldn't mean he can't live in a Palace.
.
.
It makes sense that the coordinator for a global effort to eraducate poverty lives in a palace.
.
.
It is extremely funny, though, that he should not only claim, but be widely believed, to be representing Jesus of Nazareth, who never lived in a palace- was dead in hours of being in a palace, crowned, and bowed to in a palace.

If you were really Catholic, you would know our new pope's evangelical qualities..........
His great love of God, his deep spiritual life, his reverence for the word of God, his moral and doctrinal fidelity, and his openness to Christians of other faith traditions.
Shame on you.

He is the religious leader for MILLIONS of people. He is in the religious headquarters where things are run for those millions of people. Every priest, nun, Catholic church is under the control of those headquarters. Where would you rather he ran things, from a dirt hut?

He is not so vain as to be the head of a country and yet live outside it.
