How do I get Flat Rate Boxes from USPS?
I need to ship a camera to a friend of mine in IN (I'm in NJ). I've come to the conclusion that a Flat Rate Box is the cheapest options. I looked online to order a box, but they come in sets of 10 or 25. I only require one box. So can I just walk into the post office and take one box, or do I need to buy the stamp immediately? (I prefer to just pay for postage online and get the box at the office)
Is it true that the postage is cheaper online than in the office?

You can pick one up at your local post office. The postage would be the same at the post office as it would be at home. However, if you purchase your postage online, you can get free Delivery Confirmation. You will have to pay for Delivery Confirmation if you pay for your postage at the post office. You can print your postage online and take the label and attach it to your box at the post office. If you do that, be sure to have the retail clerk scan your Delivery Confirmation so you can "track" your package.

I can't imagine that postage would be cheaper online. Rates are rates.

They are free and are in the lobby at any post office for pickup. You don't pay for postage until you bring in the packed and addressed box.
