If you get proven as an unfit parent to one child, do they look into you being unfit to your other child?
If you get proven as an unfit parent to one child, do they look into you being unfit to your other child?
Before bashing me, please read. I have 2 children. One with my fiance and one with an ex. My ex has never let me see my daughter until she got me with child support, then she HAD to let me see her. When my fiance got pregnant, my ex said I was not allowed to see my daughter unless I left my fiance which I was not going to do. I didn't see my daughter for a few months. My ex got married and now they are wanting me to sign over rights so he can adopt her. I have been trying to see my daughter for months, last time I saw her was a year ago when my son was born because mt ex insisted on having my daughter being "first" in my life which is selfish. She says I am not allowed around my daughter if my son is around. I have to go by myself which I refuse to do because I am not going to spend less time with my son because of her selfishness. Knowing I won't agree with what she wants, she is taking me to court for being an unfit father. She said she has all the messages where I said I will not come ONLY because I wouldn't leave my son. And she is getting testimonials from friends and family. She said this way I can not deny her request for me signing over rights. After paying all my bills and child support I do not have money for an attorney. My question is, since she is trying to get me as an unfit father will the state look into me being unfit to my son? Because my son lives with me and I am far from being unfit. I have just been told by a few people that the state will look into me being unfit to my son and I just want some answers as to if anyone knows if they will or not. Thank you

Get a lawyer. Call legal aid. There are options for people who can't afford lawyers.
Then, find and keep all records of anything she has said to you, any texts or emails where she wouldn't let you see your child unless you meet her selfish demands. Keep trying to see your daughter, and keep records of her response when you do, keep your child support current, find friends and witnesses who know what she has done.
Not being the custodial parent, it's unlikely they will find you unfit. Going to court will probably backfire in her face, because A) she cannot force you to give up your rights as a parent, and B) the courts will likely order unconditional visitation for you with your daughter. And she won't have any say as to who can be around you at that time.

I was in the opposite situation where I wanted to my daughters father to be a part of her life, but he had no time. After many consultations with family court I've learned a lot, lol.
You do have rights, unless there is neglect or abuse, she is NOT allowed to keep her from you. If you go to court to file an application, they will try to send both of you to a mediator to see if you can come to an agreement. If you cannot, then you should get a good lawyer who will actually fight for your rights. Not just sit there for the sake of getting paid. The court will NOT follow her decision to keep both your kids apart. They may not issue you custody immediately, but will more than likely issue you visitation as a starting point.
I wish you nothing but the best and good luck!!

I agree with the commenter about hiring a REAL attorney. Another thing that is uber important if it is at all possibly is for you to bring proof to court about her selfishness. To counter her claim that "you want nothing to do with your daughter or whatever" show the court text messages, emails etc. even record phone conversations you have with her. EVERY SINGLE ONE. I did this with my daughter's dad because he was threatening me and in case he tried to take my daughter from me. If you have anything that will prove that she is simply being unreasonable, USE IT.

Once a person is proven 'unfit' - then that means the person is unfit to raise ALL children.

Your "fiancée". Please. You would have already married her if you were going to at all.
"After paying all my bills and child support I do not have money for an attorney.". Yet you had baby #2 anyway?
