I am 58 years old and cannot lose weight. What do u suggest? I workout 2 hs everyday, eat rite, even so I can?
cannot lose ,,,,is it because of age? Or maybe too many medicines that I take for my health? I take medicines for cholesterol, high blood pressure, depression, panic attacks, etc I feel good, it must be because of all medicines. To lose weight I better get rid of those medicines?

there are several things that can make losing weight nearly impossible. Some Meds, hormone imbalance, Thyroid conditions, ... Check with you doctor and s/he can test and tell if any of these things are causing the lack of weight loss. The next thing to check is your calorie intake. I could not lose weight until I found where my calories where sneaking in. Snack I thought were healthy were loaded with calories. Keep a food journal and see how much you are really eating. The smart phone app My Fitness Pal is a great way to keep a food and exercise journal, it helped me a lot (lost 40 lbs). Also learn everything you can about weight loss, the whys and hows. Knowledge is power. Good Luck

First of all, make sure your doctor is ok with exercise and weight loss.
I'm a gym member (hospital gym) and I see people all the time who think they are working out. There is a certain heart rate you must achieve in order to burn fat at the best rate. You should find out what that rate is for your age. They told me at the gym, but you can probably find out online for your age.
You don't need 2 hours of cardio every day. I do 45 minutes, keeping my heart rate where it's supposed to be. I use the treadmill and then get on the elliptical.
I do weight training, as well. Lucky me, I have a personal trainer in the family who tells me what to do. A gym membership will get you one free session with a trainer to begin.
I use Dr. Oz's first book, YOU On a Diet, and it works. The choices for meals are narrow, which is good for us. I don't get bored with it. The diet is mostly vegetables. I eat very little red meat. Eat lots of chicken and fish. Lots of salads, but I put tons of things in them. We eat Bocca chicken burgers once a week. Instead of a whole potato, we eat 1/2, with salsa on top. All this info is in that book.
I can almost promise you that once you get hooked on exercise, you will be able to get rid of much of your medicine. You can't get hooked on exercise by just slowly walking around. You have to really work out with a purpose. Those people I see at the gym just walking along on the treadmill, wearing long sleeves and jeans are not going to lose weight. You also don't have to kill yourself, either.
Without a gym, you can certainly walk or dance or swim or something, but it has to be done at a pace that produces the weight loss.
If you are eating right and exercising and still not losing, then you would need to cut back your food and up the exercise. I honestly don't believe it's from the medication. I'm not a doctor, though, and I don't know everything.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

Sir, I guess you are on plateau. It happens because maybe of the same workout. You may want to change your workout plans and diet plans. Or, Take a break for a week. Then restart. Maybe, It is the medicines ( I'm not sure). I you can go without medicines. You can give it a try. Thank you.

I'd suggest that you look into a paleo diet. It basically is about eating foods that are similar to what our ancestors ate for two million years before agriculture. It's what our body evolved eating. Many modern issues go away or are greatly reduced on a paleo diet - obesity, cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer's, depression, anxiety, etc.

Having seen this I feel the need to share something because I spent endless years going from diet to diet without seeing any results until I came across Pams magic plan (just google it). Without doubt its the best weight loss that I have ever achieved and I have not put it back on to this day.
