Question for goths please?

Like you said, you like the subculture, the music, and the literature. That's the basics of goth. You are a goth, you just have to take a while to adapt to the feeling of dressing different from most people.

You don't have to dress goth or "be goth" just because you like gothic stuff. Just wear what you feel comfortable in, and if you wanted to talk to some goths at lunch about how awesome a band is or something, they're not going to tell you to F off just because you aren't dressed head-to-toe in black. I though I needed to dress a certain way in high school, but when I decided I wanted to dress more girly, I didn't lose any goth/emo friends for it.

Usually, you don't have to try to be a goth. It mostly comes natrually- it's just the clothes you pick out. Maybe you just need to get used to wearing different clothes, but if you're out of your comfort zone, just wear what makes you feel comfortable :) x
