is reading such books gonna help me with improving the way i speak?
Ive been thinking about this for quite sometime but is reading books with high standards of literature/advanced vocabulary really gonna help me with improving the way i frame sentences as i speak? kuz most of the time i have trouble even understanding some of the phrases that are mentioned in such books.
im asking for an answer to this because sometimes, while im in a conversation with someone i mess up and end up saying something with really bad grammar and it keeps leading to awkward moments. if you have better solutions(anything other than ones that involve talking to people) id really appreciate it if you could list some.
by the way reading books with advanced vocabulary is a spur-of-the-moment solution that i came up with so it probably sounds kinda stupid but hey, its what got me interested in books in the first place

Reading, especially classical literature, will improve your vocabulary and grammar because you will see and learn words that you don't already know and you will see numerous examples of correct grammar. If you follow these examples your conversational grammar will also improve. Good luck!

Maybe. Reading a lot of books helps your vocabulary and also your spelling and grammar, of course. If you mean being fluent by the way you speak, I'd watch a lot of movies.

Read books with a lot of dialogue. This in effect means novels and short stories. But they must be good books written by first rate authors, eg, Steinbeck, Hemingway, Harper lee.

Read 2 books at once.
The book you're interested in, and a dictionary.
At some point you won't need the dictionary.

Books make you smarter. The way you talk, the way you think. Books are a good thing. It makes you think faster and remember. It will increase the way your going to talk too. Depends what your reading. If its documentary and non fiction and su-guy then yes
