Not Really, I think that the civil wars in the middle east are a centuries old dispute as to who has legitimacy in regards to succession of authority passed down from the Prophet Muhammad "The primary difference between Sunni and Shia Islam derives from a disagreement over the passing of authority from Muhammad to his successors." from wikipedia.
So that's like asking Saudi Arabia to referee the difference between Catholics and Protestants. Or more succinctly like having a civil war based on the difference between Catholicism and Reformed Protestants. And even that's not a fair comparison. Actually it would be like a civil war between Coptic Catholics and Roman Catholics.
That is if you had a country where there were primarily those two sects who could not separate the business of running the state from the business of running their respective Religious Sects.
I'm sure there are also tribal factors in play as well. I have heard that many Arabic names also denote family / tribal lineage as well.
Well good luck to Syria and Iraq. I'm sure that what ever happens there it will be "God's Will".
Gods will be done, Amen

Absolutely not.
Its not our war. We have enough problems at home. If someone wants to go in there, let it be Turkey and Saudi Arabia. We shouldn't support either side. Assad is backed by Iran and Russia, and the Syrian rebels are backed by al Qaeda. Whoever we support will just up becoming our enemy five, ten, fifteen years down the road - just as when Soviet Russia invaded Afghanistan, we supported the Afghans and a guy named Bin Laden. Same thing would happen with Syria. We support the rebels, five, ten years from now the rebel President is now an avowed enemy of the U.S.

I agree no oil. Plus China and Russia ought to'nt vote for a Nato strike like they did in opposition to Libya. They each and each do industry with Syria and it ought to break there economic device. yet i think Nato will do what Nato desires to do at last. The George H.W Bush warship only arrived in Syrian waters some days interior the previous, and the united statespositioned out an alert for all human beings to go away Syria without delay and have already stated as lower back all of our ambassadors. i think of a strike on Syria will take place contained in right here couple of weeks.

No, the government pays for people to blow us up and the rebels are lead by the people who blow us up. Russia and China are backing the government, we think we should back the rebels. Sound familiar? It is a no win situation for the US and regardless of which side wins, it won't change the relationship the US already has with them. Stay out of it.

NO!
We can't afford it, in blood or treasure. Enough of our brave soldiers have already died over the past 12 years, for nothing. Too many trillions have already been spent, for nothing.
We don't need another pointless war that benefits and profits only those in the business of making war.

Not at all. We have no business being over there, meddling in that country's affairs, especially when the rebels are part of a terrorist group.

Nope. All options for use are bad or too costly for a nation not even a ally.

No. It's Syria's problem, not ours.

Not at all. Both sides hate America. No matter who wins, they will still hate us.
Let them hate us without our money.
Russia wants to own this one, let them have it.

Only if we are going to bomb the Muslim Brotherhood and that is not going to happen.
