My classmate is cheating off of me. Should I report it to the professor?
I am taking an undergraduate course online that requires posting answers to various questions on a group discussion board. Each week I do the readings and put a lot of time and effort into my answers. And each week another girl blatantly copies my response and posts it as her own. She barely tries to change words around to make it look original. However, the professor hasn't noticed and I am pissed because I worked hard and she is getting credit for my work. Should I bring it to the professor's attention?

A ticklish question of ethics. likely you need to inform you class mate to reform. If the act impacts in user-friendly words the doer, it ought to correctly be extra proper to allow i lie. (you are able to tell the perpetrator). in case you spot a cat searching a chook or mouse will you interfere. The cat is doing its general function. Saving its prey denies the cat its nutrition. on the different hand, if the dishonest denies yet another of a few earnings which include a scholarship, then you may even ought to list it. that is complicated to educate something placed up facto. The time to act replaced into at the same time as the dishonest replaced into in progression. that is overdue in this celebration. allow it bypass.

Tell her to stop, at least twice in writing. If she chooses not to, or states that she isn't cheating from you, report it to your professor, but do so using the excuses she brings up.
If your professor does not take action, bring it up to the campus ombudsman or Office of Integrity.
Plagiarism is not something that affects you, it will affect your classmate much more if she doesn't stop it now.

Try confronting her first. Depending on her reaction definitely bring it to the professor's attention it's not like it's an elementary school quiz she's cheating on.

Yes you should tell the professor. Maybe instead of just blatantly saying it, tell him you think it is happening and ask him to check it out. But definitely say something

I would first warn her that if she does it again you will tell the professor and then do so.
